My Little Soccer Star!

My little man is growing up so fast.... Not only has he started preschool and become so independent, but he has become quite the little soccer star as well. Last weekend he even made his first goal! I am so proud! I love going to watch his practices every Tuesday, and love the Saturday games even more! I havent posted in a while but i swear i'll start keeping up!

So the last couple of weeks we have been moving and getting everything put away and decorated! I am not even close to being finished but I thought I would show you pictures of what I have done so far. I haven't even attempted the office yet, hence the reason there are no pictures of it, lol! But let me just tell you I am so thankful to have my moms help! We decorate peoples houses all the time and it seems like a second nature to us, but when it comes to our own homes it takes a little longer to get everything figured out! So i suppose we are both glad to have each others opinions! I will post more pictures as I get more done!

Every easter weekend we go up to 1000 springs in hagerman! We always have a blast, although this year we didnt know what to expect because of the weather! Turns out it wasnt half bad! We went and saw the alligator farms, the hot springs, and even golfed! McCoy is so concerned every year that the easter bunny might not find us...... but sure enough he did!

Every year it is a tradition to dye eggs at my Aunt Lisa's house! This year it was a lot of fun because Madden could finally participate, however he found it more interesting to taste the dye than anything! LOL! Better luck next year for him! McCoy loved coloring on the eggs with crayons before we dyed them! SOOOOO much fun!

Valentines Day in Hawaii... Pearl Harbor and Other Amazing Photos!

Valentines day in Hawaii was very fun! We went on a double date with Galixi and Issac to the Chart House for dinner, and then of all things we went to the movie Valentines Day! It was gorgeous! We had so much fun renting mopeds and riding up to Diamond head! It was awesome to see the Monk seal on the beach napping! She was pregnant and soooooo cute! I cant even begin to explain all of the amazing things we got to do on this trip! but here are some fun pictures!

Hawaii was amazing! What can I really say....because a bad day on Oahu just about beats a good day anywhere else! We took SO many pictures I thought I would split it up! We did so many incredible things while we were there! We took a trip to North Shore just about every day to get a famous Matsumoto Shave Ice, this is a a frequent celebrity stop by the way! So good! Then we would make a trip off to some adventure! I actually conquered my worst fear of the ocean and the 2nd day we were there we team kayaked across the ocean to a little island off shore! That was quite a feat for me, considering the last time i was in Hawaii i didn't get in the water any further than my knees! We went on a fast bumpy jungle expedition, which was beautiful and hilarious, and an amazing Mai'tai catamaran ride off the coast of Waikiki!

And with all that I thought I would add in how wonderful my husband is for winning this wonderful trip for us! Because of his amazing skills as a manager! I also realized how lucky we were to get to have this experience together! For me this was my 2nd trip to Hawaii and for Matt his 1st, but we are lucky because most people our age only dream of something like this! Thank you babe!

This week is going to be soooo busy around the Bishop house! I have Madden's 2nd Birthday to plan, plus a week from today we leave for Hawaii! YAY! But its not like I get to just pack for my self and take off for the week..... Oh no, I have to pack for 4 people and arrange for our 2 dogs to be looked after! LOL! But how can I complain right? I mean I get to retreat to 75 degree weather when i'm all done! I can't wait to go! I haven't been to Hawaii in 4 years, and it will be Matts 1st time! But Let me just tell you, I am having anxiety leaving my boys for the first extended length of time.....Not worried that they will be ok, because I KNOW they are in good hands, but worried that I will be able to get on the plane in the first place! It should all work out! Thats just the Drama Queen in me peeking out!

The Boys' First Trip To Seattle

In June we went for a little family getaway to go see Matt's grandpa. We had so much fun! I had never been on top of the space needle, i had just about as much fun as the kids! We did the city pass and go to go to all the big attractions! The Aquarium, the Music Museum, The Space Needle, and The Science Center.... I loved going to the Music Museum....They had a display of Paul Revere and the Raiders...Which my Grandpa was the bass guitarist... It was very cool to see my family displayed in history! We had an absolute blast and i cant wait to go back!

My cousin Jacob graduated on friday! I am so proud of him! He truly is the most honest, dedicated, kind person I know. When I say that I am proud of him, it isn't like a cousin being proud. We took our annual trip to Hagerman for Easter weekend....and low and behold just 2 miles up the road is an alligator farm. I thought that they were gonna be fake, or be 2 ft long...BUT NO these monsters are a whopping 12, 10, and 9 feet long. They were huge!!!! and only kept in by a 6ft chain link fence.....Dangerous??? McCoy was absolutly thrilled, I am so glad that we found them. We are going to have to go back every year!

A Windy Day At The Park

I have been sooooo terrible about posting, but I thought I would post some really cute pictures of earlier this month. The Sunday before Easter it was a beautiful day outside, so we went to the park to fly kites and play around with Grandma and Grandpa Bishop, Katie, and Ryder. We had a lot of fun, McCoy was more interested in playing golf then he was playing on the equiptment......(we are shooting for pro golfer here). It was a perfect day for kites, and playing around!

McCoy and Madden love anything to do with the park. OK.... and sports. Last sunday we took the boys and the dogs to the park to run around and play.... On our way there Madden fell asleep, and there was no way I was waking him up! But all in all McCoy had a ton of fun with us and the dogs at the park! I cant wait till it warms up just a little bit more!

The Great Goose Attack

Last monday, Michelle and I took McCoy, Madden, and Ryder to the park to feed the ducks! They were everywhere! Oh my goodness we were pinned between the curb and the car being swarmed by the starving geese. Madden was frozen stiff seeing is how he is not the biggest fan of animals in general. McCoy just so happened to not like to throw the bread fast enough apparently, therefor the geese took it upon themselves to grab the bread out of his hand.... McCoy all of a sudden started screaming because the goose grabbed onto his finger. Then he turned around and another one grabbed onto his coat and was shaking his sleeve around like a dog playing tug of war. He did not find that too amusing, But we couldnt stop laughing!

Feb. 7th was Maddens 1st birthday! Oh my goodness, I can't even believe it! It seems just like yesterday that I had him. He is just such a big boy and is growing and changing every day! His party turned out just great! I didn't have any rsvp's so I was a little nervous that people were not going to come! But to the contrary we had a packed house! it was stinking crazy! He got sooooo many cute things and he absolutely loves all of his toys! Thank you to every one who came! We are so thankful that we got to spend this very special occasion with all of our loved ones!

McCall Winter Festival

This weekend we went with our friends The Tucker's up to McCall for the winter festival. We had a blast! It was pretty chilly, but all around great family fun! McCoy loved to play with Bridgette and Deegan! And we also had a great time hanging out with our friends! We looked at all the snow sculptures, went sledding, and McCoy got to go ice skating for the 1st time! He had such a great time, and didn't even fall once! I can't wait till next year to do it all over again!

Broken or not broken?

On friday night McCoy was climing into the car and slipped......falling smack dap on his face....in our driveway! OUCH!!! He screamed bloody murder! His nose was bleeding and his lip and nose immediatly swole up! He did quite a number to his nose, lip, and face. He would not let me touch it! After he stopped crying he seemed ok, still a little squeemish if anyone got near it! But being the weekend and all I thought that I would wait till Monday and decide if i needed to take him to the doctor for immediate care! So for the last 2 nights every time McCoy's nose would graze his pillow he screamed! So this morning i called his doctor to tell her what was going on, and of course she wanted to see him....... His little nose has a big bruise across the bridge then down from that to the tip it goes a little crooked! So he was a very good boy and held very very still for the doctor to look at. She said it was really swollen inside but she thinks it might be broken up near the septum which she cannot see with her scope. So she scheduled an immediate appointment with an ENT doctor tomorrow to do xrays and possibly scoping his nose! Just to be sure! Even if its nothing I would rather be safe than sorry......

I know that I am so behind on posting my pictures! im sooooo bad! But we had an amazing christmas! The boys made out like bandits!!! They got a new train table.....Personalized picture books.....new engraved bracelets.....Buzz Lightyear and Woody.....you name it, i think they got it! We had a great brunch at Mike and Michelles, and then followed that by an amazing prime rib dinner at my grandparents! It was a wonderful day all around!

We started by going to Matts parents house for dinner, then we went home to frost some special homemade sugar cookies for Santa Clause. Every year the boys get special christmas Jammies and then we take their pics...... This year we made some Reindeer food at McCoys preschool christmas party....So Matt and I took Mac outside to sprinkle it on the lawn, you know....so the reindeer will smell it and come to our house.

On the first snow this year, we went and bought McCoy a new sled! he had a blast! But we just weren't pulling him fast enough! So we decided to hook up our 80lb english bulldog puppy Magnum! He just loves playing with the boys! We put on his harness and hooked him up to the sled and off he went! One of us would hold magnum and the other one would go to the end of the street and would call him! He would trott right to us! and McCoy had a BLAST!!!! It was so hilarious! However our lazy Bulldog got about enough excercise for a year or so!

This is our first time going to the Botanical Gardens... for the winter garden a glow! I have never seen so many lights! In early December Emily and I decided to take the kids to see the new Safari Exibit at Zoo Boise.

It was a great trip. It wasn't too cold and it wasnt too hot for the animals to be out. I actually think I saw more animals that day then I ever have before! I definately think that the big hit were the Lions and the Tigers! I cant wait for our next trip!

Thanksgiving was great this year. We started out the morning with a thanksgiving breakfast at Matts parents! It was a blast, and we were so stuffed! So this year we decided to go for a themed Halloween! It was a ton of fun, we all had a blast! For Mac's first preschool field trip we went to the Pumpkin Patch again. It was very nice. Matt took Madden to work with him, so McCoy and I could have time for the two of us! It was a ton of fun! On Wednesday we carved our pumpkins it was too funny! McCoy does not like to have his hands dirty...so he chose not to participate! Instead i had him take a sharpie and draw the face on he and Madden's pumpkins. Then I carved all three of ours. Exactly how he drew them! Bad part was, after I carved them McCoy would not come near them, because he thought they were scary! Maybe next year he will change his mind!

McCoy was so excited to go to the pumpkin patch! We all had so much fun, even though it was a lot colder than we had expected. We went on the hay ride out to the pumpkins, and stopped to see the zebra on the way! McCoy wasn't really interested in actually helping pick the pumpkins, but he liked the idea. After we picked um, we went back to pay and had fresh hot doughnuts! They were so yummy!

So on Tuesday I took McCoy to the doctor for a checkup, the doctor of course did all the measurments. She then informed me that McCoy is in the 86% isle for height! and that he is about the average height of a 3 1/2 year old. Wow! This year for Matt's grandmas 70th birthday, all of us girls in the family rented a cabin up near McCall for a little girls retreat! We had a ton of fun, minus the fact that all of the family pretty much got sick while we were there....except us! We were oh so fortunate enough to get it the week before we went up! But all in all we got to eat great food, talk, playcards, make pajama pants, and go to the goldfork hotsprings! I definately hope we will get to go back again soon! And next time hopefully there wont be so many sickies...and not as much rain!

After Matt got off work one night we decided to go out to the Big Nasty Hillclimb. McCoy was so excited! he absolutly loves motorcycles and is such a boy! We had such a great time this last Sunday at my cousin Jacob (Jaboo as everyone calls him)and my Uncle Marc's birthday party! I cannot believe that Jake is 18, it seems like yesterday he was born....and then playing teeball! Crazy how time flies! But he decided that he wanted to play mud volleyball, and they have the perfect house for it! They live in Kuna, and have plenty of dirt for mud! Oh.... and I thought that I would add that Madden has been sitting up since the 9th of August, he gets a little excited sometimes still and tips over, but hes doin pretty good!

And also, When we got home from camping last Sunday the 17th Madden has been working on crawling at only 6 MONTHS!!!! I am so shocked, but he is the strongest baby I have ever seen! He can get up in the crawling position and he does the rocking back and forth, and he used his legs to push him forward! It is hilarious! So he is moving now...just not quite crawling per say because he can't quite figure out how to coordinate his arms and legs moving together! I will post some pictures of it soon!

Growing up, I can remember every year going and picking Cat-tails in the country to color them! I know it sounds a little weird, Matt thought it was crazy! We were driving out in Kuna and I saw some on the side of the road! I told Matt to pull over and hand me his pocket knife. So i chopped some down! I thought since McCoy is 2 now he would probably enjoy it! So, we got out the Crayons and the butter knife, and started shaving and coloring away! I was right...Mac got a kick out of it!

On the fourth this year we woke up and went to breakfast with Matt's Aunt Heidi's family and Cousin Emily's Family at their church! It was very good, and we had a lot of fun! We hung out and the kids and guys played football and baseball in the field. Then we all went to Aunt Heidi's house and the girls painted their toes.....Matt and Loren went and bought fireworks of course. Then we had lunch! After that we went home to get changed, and the boys all fell asleep. When they woke up, we went out to a big family gathering at my Aunt Lisa's. We had so much fun.... we ate.....shot clay pigeons... and of course lit off fireworks!!! All in all Ithink it turned out to be a great holiday!
